U16 Champions

Best of luck Robbie

Best of luck to our own Robbie Dowling, who has been chosen at left-half back on the Laois minor football team to play Wicklow this Saturday night in Aughrim.

Robbie is only in his first year at minor level, so making the team is a fantastic achievement for him. He has plenty of experience in the half-back line though, having played centre-back on our U-16 team which won the 'B' championship last year, and he was also left-half back on the Portlaoise CBS team which made it to the Leinster final this earlier this year.

Well done Robbie, and best of luck to him and the Laois team on Saturday night.

The Laois team in full is as follows: 1. Adam O'Reilly (Mountmellick); 2 Mark Cahill (Ballyroan Abbey), 3 Conor Dunne (Portlaoise), 4 Rory C Fennell (Rosenallis); 5 Conor Hogan (Courtwood), 6 Martin Scully (Ballyroan Abbey), 7 Robert Dowling (The Heath) ; 8 Ciaran McEvoy (Portlaoise), 9 James Nerney (Portlaoise); 10 James Moore (Ballyfin), 11 Mark Lyons (Killeshin-Crettyard), 12 Evan O'Carroll (Killeshin-Crettyard); 13 Eoin Lowry (Killeshin-Crettyard), 14 Paul Kingston (St Joseph's-Barrowhouse), 15 Niall Mullins (Mountmellick)
